EHG Painting & Decorating is a specialist commercial painting and decorating contractor based in Wetherby, Yorkshire. We work with offices, schools & universities, healthcare facilities, fit-out contractors and commercial property managers across Leeds, York, Harrogate and the surrounding region.
Painting and decorating is our specialism, not a service bolted onto something else. That focus means we bring a level of technical knowledge and regulatory awareness to every project that generalist contractors simply do not. We are not a general maintenance company. We do not offer plumbing, electrical work, cleaning or general repairs. Our entire operation is focused on delivering painting and decorating work alongside other finishes including plastering and architectural wraps to the standard that commercial property occupiers, education & healthcare site managers, residential block managers and letting agents actually need. That means fixed-price quoting, written specification, professional documentation, fast survey turnaround and reliable delivery. The kind of operation that a facilities manager, property manager or letting agent can put on their approved contractor list and rely on without following up.
How we work
Every project starts with a proper site assessment and a specification prepared specifically for that space. We tell you honestly what the right products are and why — whether that means fire retardant emulsion on a school escape route, low VOC water-based woodwork for a healthcare environment, or a particular system for a high-traffic commercial corridor.
On site, we work with a senior painter and supervisor with 20 years of commercial experience present every day — not periodic visits. We use professional dust extraction systems on our preparation sanding, capturing 99.9% of dust at source. We leave spaces clean, provide written product records on completion, and are in contact throughout.
Who we work with
We work directly with school premises managers, school business managers, office occupiers and facilities managers, as well as fit-out contractors and principal contractors looking for a reliable decorating subcontractor. We understand commercial procurement, issue proper quotations and scope documents, and carry the accreditations and insurance our clients require.
How We Got Here
EHG started with a single small job and a clear ambition: to build a properly run commercial decorating business in Yorkshire. Over three years we have moved deliberately from smaller reactive maintenance work toward larger, planned painting and decorating contracts. We have submitted tenders for commercial fit-out projects, delivered void and planned maintenance programmes for letting agents across York and the surrounding area, and established the operational infrastructure to work at proper commercial scale. We are now entering our third year of trading as a specialist painting and decorating business. We are building the accreditations, the client relationships and the operational model that put us in the right place to take on planned maintenance contracts, block management programmes and commercial fit-out decoration alongside our core letting agent and landlord work.
What We Stand For
We do what we say we will do, when we said we would do it. We turn up, we survey properly, we price honestly, and we deliver to specification. We do not overpromise on programme or on finish standard. If something changes on site, we tell you in writing before we proceed. We treat your clients and tenants with the same courtesy and professionalism we would expect ourselves.
